Our Journey

Our journey began in 1986 as a joint venture with Jordan AS and has since grown into a business with three production sites near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, while retaining our head office in Galashiels, Scotland.

1986

Peri-dent Ltd is established and commences trading from factory base in Scotland.

1991

Peri-dent Ltd becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Jordan AS, following the establishment of their relationship in 1988.

2004

Increasing demand led to a factory extension in Galashiels to increase production capacity.

2010

Peri-dent Star Sdn. Bhd is established, a joint venture between Peri-dent Ltd and Star Plastics.

2011

Peri-dent announces the opening of a factory in Malaysia where production will be based, marking a milestone in the company's growth.

2012

Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA acquires Jordan AS.

2016

Peri-dent becomes part of the 'Home and Personal Care' division of Orkla. A second factory in Malaysia is opened, specialising in injection moulding and components.

2022

Peri-dent transfers from the 'Home and Personal Care' division to the 'Health' division within Orkla.

2024

A third factory is opened, purpose-built for the production of the 'Flosser' range.

Our People

Our experienced team operates between our UK and Malaysian sites, bringing together a wealth of knowledge, talent, and shared capabilities across both locations.

Our UK office is responsible for the majority of non-manufacturing operations, leading in areas such as account management, supply chain management, marketing, and accounting. 100% of our production is based in Malaysia, with these sites also providing extensive support to the UK team in areas such as innovation, new product development, and logistics.

Our Reach

Over the years, as we’ve grown and strengthened our production capabilities, we’ve built close relationships within the oral care industry, allowing our products to be distributed worldwide. The expertise across the company also enables us to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and responsiveness.

We now have partners across six out of the seven continents, supporting a truly global reach.
